Egciting Egg Hunt

Prom won’t take place until April 15, but the fun has already started.

The competitive nature in the last couple of weeks at Forsan Junior High and High School students was high as each grade competed for a chance to enjoy a special egg hunt and have the honor of shaving the Assistant Principal’s head.

“I am so grateful to how the junior high and high school students stepped up. Our parents are beyond generous and very competitive themselves,” Stacey Park, After Prom Lead Organizer, said. “Our After Prom, for the juniors, seniors and their dates, is going to be awesome!”

“I loved the competitive streak they showed and then the teamwork on top by joining forces to beat the opposing grade level. Plus, sometimes it’s just fun to be a kid, hunt eggs, eat candy and gang up on your poor principal,” Park said. “The whole school went above and beyond and Mr. Been was such a good sport about this, he was determined to make it a lot of fun for the whole school.”

The fundraising idea was a first for Forsan Junior High/High School, as the creative minds of Assistant Principal Rod Been, Stacey Park, Erin Stone, Suzanne Kirkland, Stacy Cole, and Jamie Richardson.

All monies raised during the fundraiser will contribute to After Prom and provide a safe environment for the students to enjoy their evening. Students attending After Prom will have an opportunity to play games, win prizes and make lasting memories.
