For the past couple of weeks, the halls of the Forsan Junior High/High School have felt a little brighter, a little louder, and a whole lot more festive as students and staff leaned into the holiday spirit together.
It started with the hallway decorating contest, where each of the hallways were transformed into parts of Whoville and The Grinch themed scenes. There were twinkling lights, paper snowflakes, and plenty of school pride. Each hallway brought its own personality and creativity, making it nearly impossible to choose a favorite, but a winner was selected - the 8th Grade class won for the junior high and the Sophomore Class took the title in high school.
Dress-up days - 12 Days of Christmas - followed, bringing laughter and friendly competition as students and teachers alike showed up in holiday sweaters, festive pajamas, and themed outfits that made even the busiest school days feel special.
The celebration wouldn’t be complete without holiday sweets and treats. There were seasonal favorites, a drink cart for the staff, and even a special serving of pancakes for teachers. The sixth graders took part in a book exchange and will be able to enjoy their own adventures through reading over the break.
From decorations and dress-up days to special meals and surprise moments of joy, the past few weeks have been a reminder that the holidays are about more than just traditions — they’re about connection, creativity, and community.
