Forsan ISD announces the receipt of the recently released 2025 Academic Accountability ratings from the The Texas Education Agency (TEA). Forsan ISD received an overall B rating - scaled score of 83 - for the district.
The B rating signifies the dedication of students, staff and the community. The 2025 Academic Accountability ratings for Texas public school districts were released on Friday, Aug. 15.
The TEA’s accountability system measures academic performance, student progress, and efforts to close achievement gaps. Ratings are assigned to school districts on a scale of A-F. A “B” rating signifies that the district is meeting high state standards and providing quality educational opportunities to all students.
“The scores are an important indicator of how our students are doing academically, but they are not the end all be all of our student’s success,” Forsan ISD Superintendent Michael Valencia said. “We will dive into the data, find the area of opportunities that will allow us to improve so that we can strive for better.”

Effective beginning the first day of school, Aug. 14, students will not be able to use their personal communication devices between the first bell until the last bell (this includes: breakfast, passing periods, break and lunch) of the school day.
This law includes ANY device capable of telecommunications or digital communications. Personal devices include: cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, pagers, gaming devices, personal computers (laptops), etc.
The bill was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott.
Forsan ISD will be issuing chromebooks; personal devices are no longer allowed.
